Common Pricing Questions

What if I want to cancel before the trial period is over?

We will be sad to see you go but we don’t make it hard. Send an email to sales@connectgood.net and we will cancel your account right away. Your credit card will not be charged as long as you cancel before the trial period is over.

Do you provide invoices and receipts?

Yes. You can download invoices and tax receipts by logging into your account. Tax receipts are created for each donation and can be found under the ‘Activity’ section of your account. The ConnectGood user (company or individual) receives a tax receipt for 100% of the donation amount (even though 5-7% of the amount covers admin fees and credit card processing charges).
We make it easy for you to expense your subscription cost. Invoices for the ConnectGood subscription are found under the ‘Reporting’ tab.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payments by the major credit cards – American Express, Visa and MasterCards. This is to pay your ConnectGood subscription as well as to pay for charitable donations. No fumbling around entering credit card information. Enter it once.

What if I want to send to customers in the United States and Canada?

Currently this can only be supported by registering and using 2 different accounts. One account would be for Canadian customers and one account would be for American customers. This is due to the fact that the currencies and charities are different for each country.

What is a “ConnectGood”?

A ConnectGood is a personalized message sent to a recipient. The user specifies an email address and the amount of the charitable donation to send. Users receive a specific number of ConnectGoods per month or per year based on the subscription type. The recipient will receive an email that contains a link to a customized landing page. On the landing page, the recipient has the ability to accept or decline the ConnectGood. Once the ConnectGood is accepted and processed your credit card is charged for the charitable donation amount. A tax receipt is added to the ‘Activity’ section of your account. You are not charged for the donation if the ConnectGood is rejected or never accepted. However, it will be counted as a sent ConnectGood against your monthly or annual total.

What % of each donation goes to charities?

When a ConnectGood is accepted by a recipient, 93 to 95% of the donation amount is forwarded on to the designated charity. 5-7% covers administrative charges and credit card processing fees. All of these fees and charges are paid to 3rd parties. Our goal is to maximize the donations to charities. ConnectGood only charges a subscription fee to users and a nominal amount to cover credit card fees. ConnectGood also ensures that the charities that recipients can choose from have a good track record and are reputable. This means most of the charitable donations are going to fund actual programs and effect real change. Less of the donation amount is used to cover bloated overhead and administrative fees.
